by Nottinghamshire County Council, we are open Monday and Wednesday nights
from 6:30pm - 9:00pm. We are particularly keen in welcoming new young
people to our club and offer a friendly face, warm, safe and well lit
building. The activities we offer are second to none for young people
in the Warsop area. We do pool, art, crafts, adventure, days out, residential
weekends, walking, climbing, sailing, abseiling, canoeing, young peoples'
health projects, mask painting, makeovers, just about everything. We also
cover interesting workshops including in January 2008, learning new cooking
skills by a top chef from West Nottinghamshire College During 2007 we have had young people take part in a London Residential, Derbyshire Residential, Healthy Eating/Cooking Project, Whitewater Rafting, Camping, Residential in Cornwall, Techno Chances Health Project during the summer, Street dance, Showcase, Shadow all night orienteering event in Sherwood Forest to name but a few. We also offer a sympathetic ear to those young people experiencing problems, at home, school, bullying, drink and drugs, in fact anything, that's what we do, If we can't give an answer we always know somebody that can. All this for 50p per session. The team are John Reddish, Rachel Bown, Neil Hill, and Zelda Machin. | Open to all youngsters aged 11 to 16. Church attendance is not compulsory and activities each week range from, Indoor Hockey, Talks, Music Evenings, Art and Craft evenings, Archery evenings and every term there is a night put to places such as Mansfield Superbowl. There is a tuck shop available and the first night is free, after which suns are 50 pence.
