WE ARE QUALITY!
Warsop Parish Council has become the 11th council in Nottinghamshire to become a Quality Parish Council and was recently presented with their certificate.
Congratulations go to Warsop, the only parish council in Mansfield, who now join Eastwood Town Council, Cotgrave Town Council, Radcliffe on Trent Parish Council, Bingham Town Council, Everton Parish Council, Gringley on the Hill Parish Council, Misterton Parish Council, East Leake Parish Council, Normanton on Soar Parish Council and Ranskill Parish Council as a Quality Parish Council. For those who have this status know how much work and dedication is put into this achievement.
A Quality Parish Council is representative of, and actively engages, in all parts of its community, providing vision, identity and a sense of belonging. It is committed to work in partnership with principal authorities and other public service agencies together with voluntary groups in its community. All members were extremely proud to have received the award and thanked Tania for all her hard work in achieving this. She has received a letter from Cllr. David Kirkham, Leader of NCC congratulating her and members on this outstanding achievement. The Accreditation Panel also made special comments on Warsop & District News regarding the excellent quality of the newspaper and the information it provides.
