MINUTES of the meeting of the Parish Council held on Monday 16th March, 2009
in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Market Warsop.
Present: Cllrs. M. Kavanagh (Chairman), S. Moody, (Vice-Chair), J. Allin (Nottinghamshire
County Councillor), J. Kerr, S. Shields, B. Lilley, A. Wetton, P. Crawford
(Mansfield District Councillors), D. Priest, B. Smith, and E. Hill.
Apologies for Absence: Cllr. J. Heald (governors meeting). Apologies noted
and accepted.
8179. DECLARATIONS BY MEMBERS OF PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTEREST - The
Chairman drew the attention of Members to the requirement for them to declare
any personal or prejudicial interests related to agenda items. Cllr Lilley
asked for her name to be removed from WTCAG. Cllr. Moody asked that the Warsop
NMT be changed to its new name.

8180. MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING - The minutes of the last Parish Council meeting on Monday 23rd February, 2009 were circulated and accepted as a true record.
There was no public participation, as the annual parish meeting was held earlier. All the public left after the meeting and did not want to stay for the Parish Council meeting. As the APM went on longer than anticipated the agenda was kept to a minimum.
8181. CRIME AND DISORDER – This was discussed in the annual parish meeting
8182. WARSOP TOWN HALL – This was discussed at length in the annual parish meeting. Cllr. Crawford wished to thank Simon Taylor, Halina Kochanowski, Tania, Barlow, Jeanne Raspin and Carol Hill for all their hard work on the business plan.
8183. PLANNING APPLICATIONS - received up to 6th March
a. Nettleworth Manor – Barn conversions (re-submission)
b. 97 Sherwood St – Lawful development certificate.
c. St Peter & St Paul’s Church – LB consent to construct and
fit new gates.
d. 69 Mansfield Rd, Spion Kop – Erection of wind turbine.
Decisions:
a. Moorfield Farm – Grant approval of reserved matters.

8186. NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL - Cllr. Allin reported that the footpath on Sookholme Lane is now being laid, the newly refurbished library’s official opening is this Saturday at 10am, new security fencing will be erected soon and there was a celebration at Rufford Mill for BBC’s 1,000th project, Warsop Parish Council were awarded 2 seats and a planter, The Chairman and The Clerk accepted the gift certificate, 1 seat will go on Hamilton Drive, the planter outside the library and the other seat on Netherfield Lane.
8187. MANSFIELD DISTRICT COUNCIL – Cllr. Kerr reported that the Area Assembly will be officially handed over to the Parish Council next week.
