MINUTES of the Parish Council meeting held on Monday 15th November, 2004
in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Market Warsop at 18.30 hours.

7258. MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
Minutes for the meeting Monday 18th October, 2004 were accepted as a true record.
The Chairman closed the meeting to allow an open session for Public Participation

7259. MATTERS ARISING OUT OF PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
As most of the questions were asked about pedestrian crossings and lay-bys, the chairman suggested that a meeting with the Highways Manager at Notts County Council to address the various problems in Warsop. He reported that the car park on the Carrs would be resurfaced soon and would ask Mansfield District Council to remove the moss on Rectory Road, Church Warsop again as it had regrown.
7260. CRIME AND DISORDER
Elijah Porte MacIntyre, Neighbourhood Warden gave a report on the wardens progress, stating the Royal Estate is quieter, they are regularly patrolling Bainbridge Road area and around The Oaklands.

7262. MEDEN VALLEY MAKING PLACES
Updates have been received regarding the Royal Estate and the next stages of the Regeneration Project, all members received a copy.
7263. WARSOP NMT - Nothing to report
7264. WARSOP AND DISTRICT NEWS
Clerk reported that the December edition is in the process of being put together and lots of new adverts had been placed for this edition. There will be no January edition. The chairman wished to thank Tania for all her hard work and Cllr. S. Shields added that Tania has turned the paper round from it loosing almost £1,000 per issue to now breaking even.
7265. MEDEN VALE 2000
Minutes were circulated to all members for information only.
7266. TOWN CENTRE GROUP - Minutes not yet received. The chairman report that there was still some funding left for the Town Centre Improvements and High Street is being considered for new paving and railings.
7267. WARSOP PARISH REGENERATION AGENCY - No meeting.
7368. AREA ASSEMBLY - No minutes received.
7269. CLERK'S TRAINING

All members approved the payment.
7270. BANK BALANCES AND ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT

7271. SECTION 137
The F&GP recommended that the application for £200 towards Netherfield Infants School stage through Meden Vale 2000 be paid. It was agreed unanimously.

7272. WARSOP CEMETARY
The chairman reported in Cllr. D. Priest's absence that he understood that a grave has to be moved and will obtain further details. He suggested that a meeting with the portfolio holder at MDC be arranged to address all the problems regarding the maintenance of the cemetery.
7273. TRANSPORT GRANT
The Clerk reported that the Parish Council have now received half the grant of £5,000.
7274. NOTTS. COUNTY COUNCIL
a. Local Transport Plan - Cllr. B. Smith commented that this could help with the issues discussed earlier in public participation and could be discussed further at the next F&GP Working Party meeting. He continued to give his report on various services that the County Council are offering and added that the removal of the speed humps are being looked into with an alternative traffic calming measure to replace them, he will be addressing the noise problem on Sherwood Street.
7275. MANSFIELD DISTRICT COUNCIL
Cllr. S. Shields had nothing specific to report but with Cllr. R. Morton they will continue to fight for Warsop.
7276. WAR MEMORIAL
Complaints had been received that the service could not be heard. Cllr. B. Smith suggested a meeting with Gordon Bell and Rev Kathryn Herrod to see if there is a way to resolve this recurring problem. Cllr. R. Morton asked why there was no band again this year. The clerk answered that the problem is that it must be a marching band and these are booked years in advance, both herself and the secretary, Alan Priest had tried numerous bands since last year without success.
7277. ITEMS FOR THE NEXT AGENDA
The chairman suggested that this item be removed from the agenda as all members were aware of the standing orders and that items for the agenda should reach the clerk no later than 7 days before the next meeting.

All councillors to be invited to discuss the budget and precept.
