MINUTES of the meeting of the Finance Committee of Warsop Parish Council held on Friday 9th May at the Clerk's Office in the Town Hall Warsop and commenced at 1500 hours.
Present: Cllrs. A. Wetton, J. Allin, B. Smith and S. Sheilds.

Declarations of Pecuniary
and Non-Pecuniary Interest
Cllr. B. Smith declared an interest in Warsop in Bloom.
Cllr. A. Wetton declared an interest in Warsop Carnival.
23. Minutes of the F&GP meeting held on Friday 27th March 2003 The minutes were accepted as a true record.
24. Public Participation
at full Council Meetings
After taking advice from the National Association of Local Councils it was
agreed not to allow dialogue between Councillors and the public but it was
agreed that Public Participation will be extended to 20 minutes at discretion
of the Chairman depending on the how many members of the public are present
and how many wish to ask questions. Also, members of the public can write
into The Clerk 14
days prior to the meeting the have their questions answered on the night.
The order of the meeting will remain the same as laid down by The National
Association of Local Councils. Cllr. B. Smith is to put together a letter
to be distributed at the next full Council meeting explaining the procedures.
25. Correspondence
a. WPRA request for a litter bin outside Unit 2000.
Cllr. A. Wetton will get in touch with the Area Assembly as there are 3 spare
bins which Unit 2000 could have one of them.
26. SECTION 137 applications
and Bills for payment
a. Friends of the Carrs request for £500.00
It was agreed that this group are trying really hard to good works on The
Carrs, have just recently been constituted and deserve the support of Warsop
Parish Council and therefore their request be granted in full. The Carrs is
in desperate need of new seats as the old ones have just rotted over time.
b. RAYNET request for £400.00
It was agreed to pay half of the amount requested as they support the Three
Parishes Sponsored Walk each year by providing communications on the day of
the walks.
c. Warsop in Bloom £1,000.00
The amount is already in the precept, therefore it was agreed to pay it.
d. Warsop Carnival £5,000.00
The amount is already in the precept, therefore it was agreed to pay it.
e. Petty Cash for 3 Parishes Walks £20.00
It was agreed to pay.
f. Mousetrap - May edition £1,871.00
It was agreed to pay.
