What is Positively Speaking all about?

Several of you suggested a forum where you could get your ideas together about local issues that affect our lives and our local environment. Somewhere, where together we can make our collective voice heard, share ideas and instigate action.

This is a forum area for local people to have their say on something they feel strongly about. Perhaps there is an issue that you would like to do something about and need support! Maybe you're looking for like minded people to start an action group. Or maybe there's just a burning issue that you'd like to sound off about. Though this is not a place for whingers! Criticism is welcomed providing it is constructive. I will not publish material that is negative! - That just gave me the idea for a title for this forum - Positively Speaking - or PS!

How will it work?

I'm quite sure there are lots of topics to be discussed but I think we should start off with one at a time to concentrate our efforts until the forum is established and starts to gets more visitors. If you would like to air your views about an issue, fill in the 'New Topic' form and when I get enough interest in a particular issue I'll open it up as a new topic for discussion in the forum.
